Orbital Traffic Intelligence

OSOIX Traffic is a proposed decision-support layer for conjunction awareness, operator coordination and shared orbital-infrastructure planning. It does not claim authority over national space-traffic systems or direct control of spacecraft.

Core functions

State ingestion

Combine operator data, authenticated observations, catalogue information and declared uncertainty without silently treating every source as equally reliable.

Conjunction assessment

Evaluate encounter geometry, covariance, time-to-event, source agreement and sensitivity to changing assumptions.

Coordination options

Generate inspectable maneuver and scheduling alternatives with explicit costs, exclusions, dependencies and authority requirements.

Infrastructure access

Model servicing windows, shared corridors, exclusion zones, communication availability and competing mission priorities.

Human authorization

Require accountable operators to approve coordination actions; OSOIX recommendations do not become spacecraft commands.

Evidence and replay

Record inputs, model versions, assumptions, recommendations, decisions and later outcomes for audit and learning.

OSOIX does not currently operate a live traffic-management service, certified conjunction-assessment system, operator coordination network, customer deployment or flight-qualified maneuver planner. Safety-critical validation and execution remain with authorized operators and deterministic mission systems.
